Ingredients
  • 1/2 pound Ditalini pasta
  • 4 quarts water
  • a generous amount sea salt
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
Instructions
  1. In a large heated skillet, add the olive oil and the butter. Once the butter is melted, add the diced onion, salt, and pepper. Cook until onion is translucent and brown around the edges.

  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente (about 10 minutes).

  3. Right before the noodles and cooked al dente, and the forzen peas and cook in the same seasoned water for two minutes.

  4. Strain the pasta and peas and transfer to the buttery onions and toss to combine.

  5. Add the parmesan cheese and mix to combine.

  6. Serve right away with extra cheese and cracked black better on top.
