There is nothing easer than buying a pre-made pie crust. All I have to do it unroll it and the options are unlimited. i had an amazing idea to create crackers out of a particular pre-made pie crust dough I recently bought. Let me tell ya, my children loved me that day because I made homemade cheese crackers. Yum.
I love cheese cracker, and so do the kiddos. But for a more “grown-up” cracker, I added all my favorite Turkish spices like oregano and garlic. What
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon coarse kosher salt
Fresh cracked black pepper
1/4 cup cheddar cheese (optional)
Preheat oven to 350° Fahrenheit
1.) Sprinkle the Turkish spice mixture over the uncooked pie crust until the whole pie crust is completely covered.
2.) Cut the crust into desired shapes (I used a pizza cutter and cut long verticle slits then long horizontal slits to achieve square cracker shapes.)
3.) Bake in the oven at 350° Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve with hummus or creamy guacamole.
