Dalgona is a frothy whipped topping that originated in South Korea during the 2019-20 COVID epidemic. This recipe is gluten-free, caffeine-free, and so creamy. Use the whipped topping over all your favorite beverages.


DIY Moringa Dalgona

  • Prep Time: 30 minutes
  • Total Time: 30 minutes


  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp moringa powder


  1. Put a large glass, metal or copper bowl in the freezer for 30 minutes. (it helps if the whisk is in the freezer as well.)
  2. Pour the water and sugar into a saucepan until a low simmer. Set aside for later.
  3. Once chilled, add the two egg whites and start to whisk your heart out! You will grow muscle after this:)
  4. The eggs will start to get frothy, then you know the eggs are ready once it reaches a stiff peak.
  5. Once the eggs reach a stiff peak, add the moringa powder and 1 tbsp of the simmered sugar-water mixture.
  6. Keep stirring vigorously.
  7. Add another tbsp of simmered sugar-water.
  8. Keep stirring vigorously.
  9. The mixture will eventually turn light green and it will be nice and glossy.
  10. Once ready, gently top the froth over iced coconut milk.
