Remove the ham from the plastic package and place it in a 9x13 baking dish face down.
Place the pineapple slices around the ham and secure by using toothpicks about 3 per slice.
Pierce the whole cloves into each pineapple slice about 5 per pineapple slice.
Cover the ham with tinfoil, and cook the ham according to the weight of the ham. Approximately 12-15 minutes per pound.
MARINADE:
With 20 minutes left of cooking time, add the pineapple juice, sugar, honey, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom to a sauce pan.
Set to medium high heat and cook until the mixture boils and starts to thicken about 5-8 minutes. (if you would like the mixture thicker add the cornstarch to 3 Tablespoons of cold water, and pour into the boiling marinade, and mix until all incorporated and thickens)
With 10 minutes left of cooking time pull the ham out of the oven and pour the marinade on top.
Place the ham uncovered back into the oven for 10 minutes.
