Recipe FAQs
Apple Cinnamon Tea has multiple health benefits, so drink up! Apples are a good source of Vitamin C, while cinnamon is high in antioxidants. We drink it when nursing a sore throat. The tea may also help improve blood sugar levels.
This recipe has 86 calories in 1 cup of tea.
I prefer to use gala apples due to their sweetness. However, you can use your favorite type of apple, such as honeycrisp, fuji, or granny smith. Just note that each variety of apple has a different level of sweet or tart flavor, so the type of apple you use will slightly alter the overall taste of the tea.
It’s best to use cinnamon sticks for a cleaner flavor and easier straining.
Gala apples — these heart-shaped apples are sweet and crisp. You may use your favorite apple type if you cannot find Gala apples.
Cinnamon sticks — I used Mexican cinnamon. Use what you can find, as long as it is NOT in powder form.
Ginger — will add health benefits such as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, to name a few.
Pure maple syrup — will add the perfect natural sweetness. This ingredient is optional.
Storage Tips
Serve: Garnish with a thin slice of apple and a cinnamon stick for an extra touch of fall charm.
Store: Store the tea in the refrigerator for up to three days and reheat before serving.
Freeze: After cooling the tea, pour it into a freezer-safe container, leaving extra space for expansion, and freeze it for up to three months.
